The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you delete a file using the Open or Save As dialog boxes, the file is sent to the Recycle Bin without displaying the "Confirm File Delete" dialog box.
CAUSEThis problem may occur if the following statements are true:
WORKAROUNDThis problem does not occur when you right-click the file that you want to delete in the Open or Save As dialog boxes, and then click Delete on the shortcut menu.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
