MORE INFORMATIONWhen you insert a workbook into a document in Microsoft Word 98 Macintosh Edition, and the workbook contains either an Auto_Open macro or a Workbook_Open macro, the macro attempts to run. However, because Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition is not the active program, the macro runs in the background. This may cause a problem, especially if the macro displays any message boxes or other dialog boxes.
