SYMPTOMSWhen you run a wizard or an add-in in a Microsoft Office 98 Macintosh Edition program, you may receive various out of memory and run-time errors. For example, you may see error messages that are similar to the following:
Run-time error '31032': Unable to create embedded object -or- Memory is too full to perform the operation. Try again after closing a window, or try increasing PoerPoint's preferred memory size with Get Info. -or- There is insufficient memory or disk space. Close extra windows and save your work. -or- Out of memory -or- The project file " is corrupt and can't be loaded. -or- Run-time error '7' CAUSEThis problem may occur if you run multiple wizards or add-ins and you are using the default memory settings for the Office 98 program.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, increase the preferred memory size by 2,000 kilobytes for the affected Office program. The following example shows you how to increase the preferred memory size for Microsoft Excel. To do this, follow these steps.
