SUMMARY

To create white text on a black background in WordArt, follow the steps below:

  1. Create or open a word-processing document or a database form.

  2. Move the insertion point (text cursor) to the location where you want to insert the WordArt object.

  3. On the Insert menu, click WordArt.

  4. In the Enter Your Text Here box, type your text.

  5. On the WordArt Format menu, click Shading.

  6. In the Shading box, click White/Black for the Foreground color (ignore background color).

  7. Click OK.

Some printers, such as the Hewlett-Packard (HP) LaserJet Series II, detect TrueType text as black. If you are using such a printer, you must select the Print TrueType As Graphics option in the Setup dialog box in the Printers section of Windows Control Panel.
