Article ID: Q139518
The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft PowerPoint for the Macintosh, version 4.0
  • Microsoft Office for Macintosh, versions 4.2, 4.2.1
  • Microsoft ClipArt Gallery, version 1.0

SYMPTOMS

When attempting to add a graphic to the ClipArt Gallery, you may receive a message similar to the following:

ClipArt Gallery cannot work with clip art over 128K in size.
Please use the Insert Picture command to place <name of graphic>
   in your document.

CAUSE

The ClipArt Gallery was designed to work with graphic files less than 128K in size.

MORE INFORMATION

You can add graphic images to the ClipArt Gallery. The Microsoft ClipArt Gallery can import the following graphic file formats:

   PICT
   WMF
   EPS
   TIFF

After you add an image to the ClipArt Gallery, a pointer to that image is put into the Artgalry.thm file. The Artgalry.thm file is normally found in the Microsoft folder. If you delete or move the image from your computer, ClipArt Gallery will no longer be able to find that image.
