The information in this article applies to:
SUMMARYIn Microsoft Word version 2.0 for Windows, you can convert version 1.x documents to the version 2.0 format. This conversion process converts equation fields in the version 1.x document to an embedded equation object in the version 2.0 document. If the version 1.x document that you are converting contains an equation field and a header or footer (or both), when you double-click the embedded equation object in the version 2.0 document to start the Equation Editor application, the Equation Editor will contain the contents of the header and/or footer, as well as the equation. This problem was corrected in Word version 2.0a for Windows. To obtain pre-sales information about new or updated Microsoft products, call the Microsoft Sales Information Center at (800) 426-9400.
