  • Microsoft Draw version 1.0

SUMMARY

Characters copied from the Microsoft Windows operating system version 3.1 Character Map application cannot be pasted into Microsoft Draw version 1.0. In the Draw server application, the Paste command is unavailable on the Edit menu. If you press SHIFT+INS to copy the contents of the Clipboard into Draw, the Character Map symbol will appear formatted for the Windows System font.

If you want to insert a symbol or special character in Microsoft Draw, you must format the text for Wingdings or another font.

MORE INFORMATION

Microsoft Draw does not read the Character Map formatting from the Clipboard in Windows. To insert a special character in Microsoft Draw, use the following steps:

  1. Select the Text tool.

  2. From the Text menu, choose Font. From the Font submenu, select the font that contains the symbol you want to insert.

  3. Type the key or key combination for the symbol you want to insert.

Note: To find the key or key combination for a symbol, select the symbol in Windows Character Map. The key or key combination is displayed on the status bar of the Character Map dialog box.
