SYMPTOMS

When you view a Calendar using the Day/Week/Month View in Microsoft Outlook 97, the TaskPad is not always visible.

CAUSE

The Day/Week/Month Calendar View calculates the amount of available space for each screen element. The TaskPad shares screen space with the Date Navigator area, which can display one or more months at a time. If the Date Navigator area takes up too much space, the TaskPad cannot be displayed on the screen.

WORKAROUND

You can reduce the size of the Date Navigator area to make room for the TaskPad. For example, if the Date Navigator area shows four months, use the sizing pointer to reduce it to two months.

To reduce the size of the Date Navigator area, carefully position the pointer over the bottom of the area until it changes to the sizing pointer. While holding down the left mouse button, drag the sizing pointer up to enlarge the Task Pad area.
