This article describes how to use Microsoft Outlook 97 to copy folder design properties from one folder to another. Folder design properties include Permissions, Rules, Description, and Forms & Views.

To copy folder design properties from one folder to another, you must have the Exchange Extensions Add-in installed.

To Install the Exchange Extensions Add-in

  1. In Outlook, on the Tools menu, click Options.

  2. On the General tab, click Add-In Manager.

  3. Click Install, then click to select the Emsuix.ecf file, and click Open.

  4. Click OK and OK.

To Copy Design Properties From One Folder to Another

  1. In the Folder List view, select the destination folder.

  2. On the File menu, point to Folder, and then click Copy Folder Design on the shortcut menu to open the Copy Design From dialog box.

  3. In the "Copy design from this folder" list, select the source folder.

  4. Under Copy Design Of, click the properties you want to copy.

  5. Click OK.
