OL97: How to Change Drop-Down Menu Display Behavior

SUMMARY

In other Microsoft Office 97 programs, you can change the display behavior of drop-down menus to either "Unfold" or to "Slide." You cannot set this feature from within Microsoft Outlook 97. However, Outlook menus will take on this behavior from the settings in other Office 97 programs.

To set the display behavior of drop-down menus, follow these steps:

  1. Open Word 97.

  2. On the Tools menu, click Customize.

  3. In the Customize dialog box, click the Options tab.

  4. In the Menu Animations box, click to select Slide, Unfold, or Random.

  5. Click Close.

The drop-down menus in Outlook will now behave according to the settings you have chosen.
