SUMMARY

This article describes how you can use Lotus cc:Mail Mobile with Microsoft Outlook 97. Cc:Mail Mobile provides consistent addressing, Inbox, and Outbox functions between desktop and mobile computing.

MORE INFORMATION

Follow these steps to use cc:Mail Mobile with Outlook:

  1. Create a new profile, which includes the cc:Mail transport from the ValuPack.

  2. When prompted, enter the path to your cc:Mail post office and your user name, for example, C:\CCMOBILE\CCDATA1.

  3. Start Outlook with the cc:Mail Mobile profile. You can now address messages using the cc:Mail Mobile folder, send messages to your cc:Mail Mobile Outbox, and download unread messages in to your cc:Mail Mobile Inbox.

In order for you to use cc:Mail Mobile to send and receive messages from a remote post office, you must start cc:Mail Background as a separate application and click the Start button to initiate the dialup connection.
