OL97: Duplicate Meeting Request Sent When Adding New Attendees

SYMPTOMS

When you open an existing meeting, invite others to attend and then send the meeting request, everyone including those originally invited gets the request.

RESOLUTION

Instead of opening and sending the existing meeting, forward it to the new attendees.

MORE INFORMATION

To forward the Meeting Request do the following:

  1. Click the Calendar icon on the Outlook Bar.

  2. On the Go menu, click "Go to Date."

  3. Select the date of the meeting and the view to display, then click OK.

  4. Right-click the meeting and then click Forward on the context-sensitive menu.

  5. Add the e-mail addresses of the new attendees, then click Send.
