The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen using Microsoft Outlook 97 on a Gateway 2000 computer with an internal Telepath Fax Modem (USR Sportster Voice 33600 PnP Fax Modem), you are able to make only one call through the modem's speakerphone during an Outlook session.
CAUSEThere is a problem with the driver supplied for the USR 33600 Sportster voice Modem.
RESOLUTIONMake all voice calls after the first one through the handset rather than the speakerphone. -or- Restart Outlook between each voice call. -or- Use the US Robotics 28.8 Internal Fax driver delivered with Windows 95. NOTE: This driver does not support the Caller-ID feature.

Steps to Reproduce the Problem
Repeat the above process for a second call and the modem's speakerphone does not work. Pick up the handset and click End Call and the call is connected through the handset. If you quit and restart Outlook, the speaker will work again for one call.
