The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Outlook 97 if you set your dialing location to a country other than the United States and then send a fax to a ten-digit telephone number, such as (406) 222-2222, the country code incorrectly resolves to a number other than +1.
CAUSEThis problem occurs due to a Telephony Application Programming Interface (TAPI) problem with Windows NT, version 4.0.
RESOLUTIONYou can work around this problem by explicitly typing the country code in the fax number field. For example, to send a fax to (406) 222-2222 in the United States, type +1(406) 222-2222 in the fax field.
