The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you complete a task that triggers an automatic journal entry, there is a delay before Microsoft Outlook writes the entry to Journal. During this delay, you see no indication that any work is in progress.
CAUSEOutlook delays 60 seconds before writing a journal entry.
MORE INFORMATIONMicrosoft Outlook 97, version 8.02, improves journal entry performance by reducing the idle time from 60 to 30 seconds and providing a progress bar during the recording process.
