The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you right-click the Microsoft Outlook 97 shortcut on the desktop and then click Properties, there is a Run Minimized option on the Shortcut tab. If you select this option and then start Outlook using the shortcut, Outlook starts in a normal window.
CAUSEThis occurs if you are using the Rules Wizard. The Rules Wizard prevents the Run Minimized feature from working in Microsoft Outlook 97 version 8.0.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 97. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
