OL97: Outlook Exits When Microsoft Exchange Server is Down

SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Outlook 97 with Microsoft Exchange Server as your e-mail service, if you attempt to open a different folder when the server is down, Outlook may abruptly exit.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 97. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
