When you use the Rules Wizard in Microsoft Outlook 97 to set up a rule for processing e-mail messages, you have the option to "perform a custom action." Custom actions are additional features supplied by third party add-ins. Outlook supplies no custom actions.

MORE INFORMATION

There are a number of Rules Wizard custom actions, as well as other Outlook add-ins, available on the Internet from third party developers. To access Outlook add-ins on the Internet, use your Web browser to query on "Outlook" and "add-ins."

The add-ins referenced in this article are provided "as is" and Microsoft does not guarantee that they can be used in all situations. Although Microsoft support engineers can help with the installation of add-ins, they will not modify the add-ins to provide new functionality.
