SYMPTOMSWhen clicking to start one of the Microsoft Outlook 97 items on the Microsoft Office Shortcut bar, you may receive the following error message:
Outlook could not start because a location to send and receive mail could not be found. To add a location, such as a personal folder file, double-click the Mail icon in Windows Control Panel.You may not receive this message when starting Outlook from the icon.
CAUSEThe delivery location in your default Windows Messaging Profile is set to (None).
RESOLUTIONModify the default Windows Messaging Profile to select a mail delivery location.
MORE INFORMATIONClicking one of the Outlook item buttons on the Office Shortcut bar uses the default Windows Messaging Profile to start Outlook. Depending on which button was clicked, Outlook opens ready to send a New Message, make a New Appointment, define a New Task, set up a New Contact, record a New Journal Entry, or make a New Note.
