OL97: Subject and Body of Received E-mail is Empty

SYMPTOMS

When receiving messages, you may not receive the body text of your mail messages. You may still be able to open and read older mail in your Inbox.

CAUSE

This is caused by a damaged Delrina Internet Mail service in the user profile.

RESOLUTION

Remove the Delrina Internet Mail service and install the Internet mail service provided in the Mail and Fax Control Panel.

NOTE: You will need your email account information before continuing. This will include all mail server names and your account name. If you don't have this information contact your Internet Service Provider.

  1. If Outlook is running, click file then click "Exit and Log Off."

  2. Click Start and point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

  3. Double-click Mail and Fax (or Mail, if Fax services are not installed.)

  4. Click Delrina Internet mail, and click Remove.

  5. Click Add and click Internet E-mail, and then click OK.

  6. Type the server and account information, then click OK.

You may not be able to read old mail that has been received prior to this resolution. Any new mail received will be readable.
