SUMMARYMicrosoft Outlook 97 supports using one-off e-mail addresses (typing an address directly into the To, Cc, or Bcc fields of a message) with Lotus cc:Mail support. This article discusses the proper format for one-off e-mail addresses with cc:Mail.

Recipient Located on a Local cc:Mail Postoffice (Intranet)The one-off address format for a recipient located on a local cc:Mail postoffice is as follows:
[CCMAIL:<user name> at <server name>] (Brackets required) Example: [CCMAIL:Joe at xyz] Recipient Located Outside of the cc:Mail System (Internet)The one-off address format for a recipient located outside of the cc:Mail system follows the Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP) form, plus the name of the cc:Mail gateway to the Internet, as follows:
[CCMAIL:<user name>@<server name>.com at <gateway>] (Brackets required) Example: [CCMAIL:JJones@abc.com at INTERNET] In this example, INTERNET is the name of the Internet mail gateway for the cc:Mail postoffice. |
