The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Mail for PC Networks, versions 2.1, 3.0, 3.0b, and 3.2

When the Mail administrator for versions 2.1, 3.0, and 3.2 of Microsoft Mail for PC Networks invokes the Folder Repair utility (FIXFLD.EXE) by typing FIXFLD at the MS-DOS prompt, the program incorrectly displays the usage as follows:

   Usage: DUMPFLD -args <indexfile>.

The correct syntax for FIXFLD.EXE is documented in the FIXFLD.TXT file as follows:

   FIXFLD <saved folder file> <new folder file>

The FIXFLD.EXE and FIXFLD.TXT files are provided with Application Note WA0641, "Database Maintenance Utilities." You can have this Application Note mailed or faxed to you by contacting Microsoft Product Support Services.
