X400: Supported Format for O/R Name Country Code

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Mail Gateway to X.400, versions 2.1, 3.0, and 3.2

The country code qualifier in the X.400 originator/recipient (O/R) name identifies the country where the mail recipient resides or receives mail messages.

You can enter country codes in either of two formats:

  • alpha format: this value must contain two alpha characters (for example: US).
  • numeric format: this value must contain three numeric characters (for example: 412).
