PC NTMMTA: General Protection Fault in X25EICON.OVL

SYMPTOMS

When you run the Microsoft Windows NT Multitasking MTA (MMTA) from the command line, and you are using an Eicon card, you may get the following error message:

   General Protection Fault in X25EICON.OVL
   An OS/2 program called Dos32Dispatch() with a bad pointer argument.
   The program will be terminated.

RESOLUTION

Obtain the latest version of the following two files : X25.DLL and X25T32.DLL from Microsoft Product Support Services.

In the United States, call Microsoft Product Support Services at (206) 635- 7022 or (900) 555-2100. Outside the United States, contact the Microsoft subsidiary for your area. To locate your subsidiary, call Microsoft International Customer Service at (206) 936-8661.

MORE INFORMATION

When you run the Mail External program as a service and have an opened monitor window, the error message does not have time to appear on the screen. The instance does not respond to the Escape (ESC) key.
