PC Win: Scroll Bar on Compose Note Jumps Up and Down

SYMPTOMS

The scroll bars on a compose note may jump around when three or more lines are entered very quickly.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in versions 3.0, 3.0b, and 3.2 of Microsoft Mail for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

  1. Bring up a compose note form.

  2. Quickly press ENTER 3 or 4 times in the message body.

    Note that the scroll bar is not drawn smoothly.
