  • Microsoft Mail for Windows, versions 3.0, 3.0b, and 3.2

SYMPTOMS

In version 3.0, 3.0b, or 3.2 of Microsoft Mail for Windows, the following error message is displayed when the folder conversion program (CONVERT.EXE) does not have sufficient memory to run:

   The folder conversion program cannot access your message file.
   Make sure that you can sign into Microsoft Mail and try again.

RESOLUTION

Close one or more Windows applications and try again.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in versions 3.0, 3.0b, and 3.2 of Microsoft Mail for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
