PC Win: Err Msg: Stop: A New Message Could Not Be Created

SYMPTOMS

In version 3.0, 3.0b, or 3.2 of Microsoft Mail for Windows, when you reply to a message that originally contained an attachment that is now deleted, this error occurs:

   Stop: A New Message Could Not Be Created.

CAUSE

Mail for Windows does not allow you to reply to a message if its attachment has been deleted.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in versions 3.0, 3.0b, and 3.2 of Microsoft Mail for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
