The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSThe Microsoft Proxy Server version 1.0 currently does not have the capability to "listen" for a connection on behalf of an internal server. The Proxy Server 1.0 will only remote requests from internal clients to the Internet. For example, SMTP would be able to send mail through the Proxy Server but not listen for incoming mail. Therefore, you cannot install a Microsoft Exchange Server behind the Proxy Server, because the Internet Mail Connector (IMC) will not receive incoming mail.
