The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you try to access Internet sites through a Proxy Server, your browser will display a login dialog box trying to authenticate you. If you leave the username and password blank, and you press Enter, which again brings up the login dialog box (this happens 5 or 6 times), before your browser displays the site.
CAUSEYou have insufficient permissions on the following folders in Microsoft Windows NT Server version 4.0:
/InetPub/Scripts /Urlcache folderThis usually happens when you try to access sites that are returning cookies.
WORKAROUNDCheck the permissions on the /Inetpub/Scripts and see if Everyone has full control. Check the permissions for the urlcache directory; Everyone needs Read/Execute (RX) on the above directories.
