SUMMARYTo avoid problems when you run Setup for the applications listed above, it is recommended that you restart your Macintosh without extensions before you run Setup (this recommendation applies to running Setup for the first time AND to running it in maintenance mode).
MORE INFORMATIONSome system extensions may conflict with the Microsoft Office Setup program or with one of the Office application Setup programs. To avoid these conflicts, follow the appropriate procedure below before you run Setup.
If you are using System 7.5
If you are using a System earlier than System 7.5
NOTE: Some CD-ROM drives require a system extension to run properly. If you are running Setup from a CD-ROM, you might need to turn off other extensions selectively. To selectively turn off extensions except CD-ROM extensions, do the following:
