Address Book Parameters Not Supported by Command Line Utility

SYMPTOMS

The Internet Mail Server command line utility INETCFG does not support configuration of address book parameters such as adding, listing, removing, or editing SMTP/POP3 Address Book configurations. The Administrator user interface does support this.

CAUSE

The command line tools should support all the service-specific functionality of the respective Internet Service Manager (ISM) user interface DLL.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Commercial Internet System (MCIS) version 1.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
