The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSThere is no command line tool to set the maximum Inbound connections in SMTP. However, there is a command line tool to set the maximum outbound connections.
CAUSEDuring Setup, you must specify an NTFS-based directory for MailRoot, but later on Setup states that you do not need NTFS on your remote mail store. Under MailRoot Directory you set up Queue, Badmail, Pickup, and Drop.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Commercial Internet System (MCIS) version 1.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
