The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen the POP3 service is continuously started and stopped, the handle count goes up by roughly 2 for each start and stop.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Commercial Internet System (MCIS) version 1.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
