Support for SSPI Authentication Doesn't Work in French VersionLast reviewed: February 3, 1998Article ID: Q164718 |
The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSSupport for SSPI authentication (NTLM, DPA, and so forth) does not work in the French localized version of chat (server and client). The chat server and the client component chat sock has the "ISC_REQ_CONFIDENTIALITY" flag set when it attempts to load an SSPI module. This will fail under the French version of Windows NT (both server and client).
RESOLUTIONBoth Chatsvc.dll and Chatsock.dll have been modified. To resolve this problem, apply Service Pack 1 (SP1) for MCIS to the ICS server(s). In addition, users (clients) who have the original version of Chatsock.dll will need to upgrade Chatsock.dll to the new version that is available with SP1 for MCIS.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Commercial Internet System, version 1.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. Keywords : cischat Version : 1.0 Platform : WINDOWS Issue type : kbbug |
