SYMPTOMS

There is a problem in Internet Locator System (ILS) that prevents substring searches from working on any attribute except CN (e-mail address).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Commercial Internet System version 1.0.

MORE INFORMATION

The search engine has been changed to allow for searches on more than just the e-mail address. In particular, these updates apply to Ldapsvc.dll and Ipldb.dll.
