CRS: Web Admin Truncates DBCS Characters

SYMPTOMS

The PGI (piglet interpreter) used by the Content Replication System (CRS) SSO truncates incoming unicode strings with valid double-byte character set (DBCS) characters to half their original length.

CAUSE

This occurs because of a miscalculation of the destination length in the piglet code.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Commercial Internet System, version 1.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
