SYMPTOMSUsers may receive one of the following errors when using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.01 on certain Membership (DPA) Enabled Web Sites:
HTTP:// 501 error -or- Content_Length does Not have a valueThe error occurs when submitting a form that uses the Post command instead of the Get command.
RESOLUTIONThis is a known problem in Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.01 and MCIS Membership Systems that has been fixed in Internet Explorer 3.02. Microsoft recommends that users upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer when they visit Membership protected Web sites.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Commercial Internet System, version 1.0. A supported fix is now available, but has not been fully regression-tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Service Pack that contains this fix.
