The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Commercial Internet System, version 1.0 - Microsoft Content Replication System- Microsoft Site Server, version 2.0 - Microsoft Content Replication System
SYMPTOMSWhen you cancel a nonexistent replication in the Microsoft Content Replication System (CRS) Webadmin, an access violation occurs.
CAUSEIf you have stopped a replication and have not refreshed the page, the CRS Webadmin shows the replication is still running. At that point, you will receive an access Violation error message when you try to cancel the replication for the second time. The cancel replication code does not check the state of a replication before attempting to cancel it.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Commercial Internet System version 1.0 and Microsoft Site Server version 2.0. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Microsoft Site Server version 2.0. For information on obtaining the Service Pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces): S E R V P A C K Keywords : ciscrs Version : WINNT:2.0 Platform : winnt Issue type : kbbug Solution Type : kbfix |
