UA: Changing Overlapping Log Files Value Produces Varied Import

SYMPTOMS

In Usage Analyst, incorrect results or no results may be returned after importing, if the log file options are set to discard records and proceed when an overlap is detected.

CAUSE

The problem occurs because an incorrect inequality is used in the import log routine.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Usage Analyst, version 2.0. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Microsoft Site Server version 2.0.
