INVDOS Does Not Detect NEC 3x CDROM drives

SYMPTOMS

INVDOS does not detect a NEC 3X CD-ROM drive installed on an MS-DOS or Windows workstation, even though Microsoft Diagnostics (MSD) does detect the drive and the version of MSCDEX that is installed.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Systems Management Server versions 1.0 and 1.1. This problem has been corrected in Systems Management Server version 1.2.
