SMS: Remote Ctl. With FR Regional Setting 1.2 SP2 - Grey Viewer

SYMPTOMS

The Quick Windows Viewer appears "empty" and the background color is grey when attempting to remotely control a Windows NT 4.0 Client from a Windows NT 4.0 Systems Management Server 1.2 Service Pack 2 Server when the Regional Settings of one machine are set to US and the other one are set to Regional Settings FR (Frantais - standard). If you try to resize the Quick Windows Viewer, it automatically resizes as a "small" window.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, obtain the hotfix mentioned below.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Systems Management Server version 1.2 Service Pack 2. This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft Systems Management Server 1.2 U.S. Service Pack.
