SMS: Some SNMP Severity Levels Only Show Success

  • Microsoft Systems Management Server version 1.2

SYMPTOMS

For some (but not all) Windows NT Event sources, all Severity values show as Success in the Systems Management Server Event to Trap Translator, even though they should appear as Warning, Error, or Informational.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Systems Management Server version 1.2. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
