SMS: Rservice May Install Service with Bad Password

SYMPTOMS

Rservice installs a service even if the password given is bad, as long as the logon account is an administrative account that has administrative rights on the client.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Systems Management Server version 1.2. This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft Systems Management Server 1.2 U.S. Service Pack.
