The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSThe SNA Server backup Host Account Cache service may hang if its database gets out of sync with the master Host Account Cache database.
CAUSEThe backup service was incorrectly acquiring a write lock on the database file, which may cause the service to hang.
RESOLUTIONAn update to SNA Server 3.0 is available to correct this problem. The updated module is:
<Snaroot>\Hssystem\Snaudb.exe STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SNA Server version 3.0. This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft SNA Server 3.0 U.S. Service Pack. For information on obtaining the service pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
