The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft SNA Server for Windows NT, version 3.0
SYMPTOMS3270 Applet file transfer does not convert DBCS characters between EBCDIC and ANSI. All DBCS characters are treated as SBCS characters.
CAUSEThe 3270 Applet does not support DBCS File Transfer.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the hotfix mentioned below. The 3270 Applet for the Windows 95 and Windows NT clients now supports DBCS File transfer. The following file has been updated:
Ftp3270.dll STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SNA Server version 3.0. This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft SNA Server 3.0 U.S. Service Pack. For information on obtaining the service pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
