SYMPTOMSWhen using the SNACFG command line utility to create an SNA Server printer session, it may fail with the following error message if a PDT file is specified and includes spaces in the name (for example, Active Setup Log.PDT):
Line No. 1: Error - Bad option specified CAUSEThe SNACFG utility does not correctly parse the PDT file name when spaces are included in the file name itself.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SNA Server versions 3.0, 3.0 SP1, 3.0 SP2, and 4.0.
A supported fix is now available, but has not been fully regression-testedand should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Service Pack that contains this fix.
