Deleting LUA Pool from TN3270 May Delete PoolLast reviewed: March 13, 1998Article ID: Q180702 |
The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIf you delete an LUA pool assignment from the TN3270 service, the LUA pool itself may be deleted. This problem occurs when you are using the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) SNA snap-in interface with SNA Server 4.0, but not with the SNA Manager interface.
CAUSEThe SNA MMC snap-in is incorrectly referencing the LUA pool object instead of the TN3270 LUA pool assignment.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SNA Server version 4.0. A supported fix is now available, but has not been fully regression-tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Service Pack that contains this fix. Contact Microsoft Product Support Services for more information.
