SYMPTOMSThe property page of a Twinax connection allows you to change the Peer DLC Role to either "Primary," "Secondary," or "Negotiable." The only correct Peer DLC Role for a Twinax connection is "Secondary." "Negotiable" is selected by default.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SNA Server 4.0. A supported fix for SNA Server 4.0 is now available, but has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Service Pack that contains this fix. Contact Microsoft Technical Support for more information.
MORE INFORMATIONSnaadmin.dll and Snapage.dll have been changed so that a Twinax connection will set the initial Peer DLC Role to "Secondary." In addition, the XID Type and Peer DLC Role radio buttons are disabled on the System Identification page.
