Last reviewed: May 1, 1997
Article ID: Q135454

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft SQL Server, version 6.0
BUG# NT: 11185 (6.00)

SYMPTOMS

If you remove a primary key from a table by using the Manage Tables dialog box in SQL Enterprise Manager, the key symbol(s) in front of the key column(s) disappears as expected.

However, if you now add a new primary key, the key symbol(s) in front of the previous key columns reappears. Only when you press the Save Table button do these incorrect key symbols correctly disappear again.

WORKAROUND

Save the table definition.
