BUG: Query Window Focus Inactivates 'Generate Scripts' Option

SYMPTOMS

When you have focus in the query window in the SQL Enterprise Manager (SEM) and attempt to use the 'Generate Scripts' option, the menu does not invoke the Generate Scripts dialog box.

CAUSE

Input focus must be in the Server Manager window to properly invoke the Generate Scripts menu option.

WORKAROUND

Position your mouse to set focus in the Server Manager window to enable the Generate Scripts menu option.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server version 6.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
